Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Coordinate production activities in assigned work areas, ensuring continuous processing of products according to build schedules.
- Communicate work instructions to personnel in designated areas to meet supervisory objectives.
- Ensure that quality and production goals are achieved.
- Conduct regular process and quality performance audits of personnel, tooling, and equipment in assigned areas.
- Report equipment failures to the supervisor or appropriate contacts.
- Gather information on work-in-process inventory status and daily output quantities in assigned areas.
- Assist in providing direct training to area operators as required.
- Provide feedback on defects encountered and offer re-training support when necessary.
- Expedite priority products and tasks in assigned areas.
- Inspect and determine the disposition of rejected components per required documentation.
- Perform direct manufacturing operations in support of build schedules as needed.
- Stay updated on developments in relevant fields, regulatory requirements, and general knowledge of company products, markets, and objectives.
- Coordinate purchase requests for equipment and services.
- Resolve or facilitate the resolution of problems, including identifying causes to prevent recurrence.
- Conduct daily meetings with manufacturing operators to enhance communication and continuous improvement.
- Ensure preventive maintenance and calibration stickers are up to date.
- Participate in 5S audits and weekly meetings with other area value stream group leads.
- Assist with any employee needs, including training and Employee Self Service needs.
- Support all company initiatives as identified by management, including Quality Management Systems (QMS), Environmental Management Systems (EMS), and other regulatory requirements.
- Comply with U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) regulations, other regulatory requirements, company policies, operating procedures, processes, and task assignments.
- Maintain positive and cooperative communications and collaboration with all levels of employees, customers, contractors, and vendors.
- Perform other related duties and responsibilities as assigned.
