Position Summary
The Production Supervisor is responsible for leading the daily activities of the manufacturing team to ensure assembly operations are completed safely, efficiently, on schedule, and to the highest quality standards. This role provides hands-on leadership, coaching, and support to production employees while driving continuous improvement in quality, throughput, and overall team performance.
The ideal candidate brings strong manufacturing knowledge, proven leadership capabilities, excellent communication skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively across departments. The Production Supervisor must be adaptable and comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment while maintaining a strong focus on safety, quality, accountability, and customer satisfaction.

Compensation: $36.00 - $40.00/hr.

Core Duties and Responsibilities
- Lead daily production activities by assigning team responsibilities, coordinating workflow, and ensuring manufacturing deliverables are achieved on schedule. Provide hands-on assembly and manufacturing support when needed.
- Maintain current knowledge of products, assembly processes, and manufacturing protocols. Provide ongoing training, coaching, and communication to team members.
- Establish team goals and drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on quality, productivity, throughput, and other key production metrics.
- Partner with the Production Manager and Cell Leaders to communicate expectations, monitor performance, and ensure production activities meet established standards.
- Foster a culture of quality, accountability, and continuous improvement. Identify and address quality issues that may impact final product testing and implement appropriate corrective actions.
- Cross-train employees across multiple assembly and manufacturing processes to strengthen team capabilities, improve flexibility, and support employee development.
- Collaborate with Manufacturing Engineering to develop and maintain assembly procedures and related training materials. Deliver procedural training to employees as required.
- Build and maintain effective cross-functional relationships and collaborate with other departments to resolve issues, improve processes, and achieve shared business objectives.
- Lead 5S initiatives and promote a clean, organized, efficient, and safe work environment through consistent leadership and example.
- Partner with Production Scheduling to manage material usage, maintain inventory accuracy, and ensure production schedules are consistently met.
- Monitor and analyze production data and prepare reports to support operational decision-making and performance improvement.
- Maintain strict adherence to safety standards, OSHA requirements, and facility safety procedures. Promote and enforce safe work practices throughout the team.
- Support employee performance management activities, including performance evaluations, employee recognition, coaching, and disciplinary actions, in partnership with management and Human Resources.
- Promote a positive, inclusive, and high-performance team environment through effective communication, coaching, and leadership.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree preferred.
- Previous experience in a manufacturing environment required; experience in a technology-focused manufacturing facility preferred.
- Previous supervisory or team leadership experience highly preferred.
- Demonstrated experience with continuous improvement methodologies and practices.
- Six Sigma certification preferred but not required.
- Experience working effectively in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
