Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented Production Planning Coordinator to join a growing manufacturing team. This role supports daily production by coordinating material planning, inventory, purchasing, and production schedules to ensure operations run efficiently. The ideal candidate is highly organized, analytical, and experienced working in a manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
- Plan, schedule, and track materials required to support production.
- Maintain production spreadsheets, databases, and inventory records.
- Coordinate production schedules and prepare work packets for manufacturing.
- Update production orders and resolve inventory discrepancies with the production team.
- Review Bills of Materials (BOMs), engineering changes, and ERP data for accuracy.
- Assist with inventory control, receiving issues, and supplier quality concerns.
- Create and manage purchase orders for production materials.
- Expedite material shortages to prevent production delays.
- Coordinate returns of non-conforming materials and assist with supplier issue resolution.
- Work with inventory, purchasing, accounting, and production teams to reconcile inventory and invoices.
- Monitor inventory levels and ensure materials are available to support production schedules.
- Prioritize multiple tasks while meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Utilize ERP systems and Microsoft Excel to manage production planning and inventory data.
- Participate in team meetings and support continuous process improvements.
- Complete additional projects and responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications
- Associate degree preferred or equivalent manufacturing experience.
- 1-3 years of experience in production planning, purchasing, inventory control, supply chain, or manufacturing support.
- Strong Microsoft Excel and overall computer skills.
- Experience using ERP or MRP systems is highly preferred.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to prioritize multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States.
