PRODUCTION PLANNER
Location: Tulsa, OK

Salary: $80,000–$95,000
POSITION SUMMARY
We are seeking an experienced Production Planner to join a growing manufacturing organization in Tulsa.
This position will be responsible for developing, coordinating, and maintaining production schedules to ensure materials, labor, and manufacturing capacity are aligned with customer demand and delivery requirements.
The Production Planner will work closely with Engineering, Procurement, Supply Chain, Production, and Operations to identify constraints, resolve scheduling issues, and keep projects moving through the manufacturing process.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Develop and maintain daily, weekly, and long-term production schedules
• Maintain the master production schedule based on customer demand, material availability, and manufacturing capacity
• Create, release, and schedule production jobs within the ERP system
• Review MRP data to identify material requirements, shortages, and potential production constraints
• Monitor inventory and material availability to support production requirements
• Coordinate with Purchasing and Supply Chain to address material shortages and delivery issues
• Monitor production progress against established schedules and adjust plans as priorities or conditions change
• Coordinate labor, materials, equipment, and other resources needed to meet production schedules
• Track job progress and production performance throughout the manufacturing process
• Identify scheduling conflicts, bottlenecks, and capacity constraints and work with appropriate teams to resolve them
• Analyze production data and prepare reports related to scheduling, inventory, capacity, and operational performance
• Work closely with Engineering, Procurement, Operations, and Production teams to ensure alignment across projects
• Support continuous improvement efforts focused on production flow, inventory, scheduling, and operational efficiency
QUALIFICATIONS
• 3+ years of experience in production planning, production scheduling, manufacturing planning, or a similar role
• Experience working in a manufacturing or project-based production environment
• Strong understanding of ERP/MRP systems and production planning processes
• Experience developing and maintaining production schedules
• Understanding of material requirements, inventory management, lead times, and manufacturing capacity
• Strong Microsoft Excel and data analysis skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects and changing priorities
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to work across Engineering, Supply Chain, Production, and Operations
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE
• Experience with Epicor or a similar manufacturing ERP system
• Experience in an engineered-to-order, make-to-order, or project-based manufacturing environment
• Knowledge of Lean manufacturing or continuous improvement methodologies
• Experience working with complex bills of material and material requirements planning

This person should be comfortable working both within an ERP system and directly with the people responsible for getting products built and delivered.
