Production Operator (SAM Assembly Operator)

Summary: Nesco Resource is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Production Operator to support slide assembly operations in a regulated manufacturing environment in Rochester, NY. This direct hire opportunity is ideal for candidates with manufacturing experience who enjoy hands-on production work in a structured, team-focused environment. The Production Operator will be responsible for operating equipment, performing quality inspections, completing production documentation, and ensuring compliance with SOPs, safety standards, and quality requirements.
Pay Rate:
- $20.00 - $27.00/Hour (Based On Experience + Shift Differential)
Shift(s):
- Rotating 12-Hour Schedule:
- 2 Days: 6:00 AM - 6:00 PM
- 2 Nights: 6:00 PM - 6:00 AM
- 4 Days Off
- Repeat Schedule
Job Duties:
- Operate manufacturing machinery in Slide Manufacturing.
- Utilize inspection tools, including visual inspection, to assess product quality.
- Adhere to all approved and documented processes.
- Work closely with maintenance/engineering to minimize equipment downtime.
- Work closely with other manufacturing support areas to coordinate activities.
- Maintain a clean & orderly work environment.
- Escalate issues to supervisor, mechanic, or engineer.
- Participate in effective shift crossovers.
- Work closely with peers.
- Accurately complete documentation to ensure acceptable quality records.
- Maintain individual training records.
- Work with computer controlled equipment and processes.
- Follow safety procedures and practices.
- Perform other work-related duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Minimum 6 months of manufacturing experience preferred
- Ability to perform basic equipment adjustments
- Experience working in regulated manufacturing environments preferred
- Familiarity with cGMP, SOPs, audits, or quality systems is a plus
- Basic computer skills including Microsoft Word, email, and data entry
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to product quality
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Mechanical aptitude preferred
- SAP or Lean Manufacturing experience a plus
- Reliable attendance and ability to work a rotating schedule
Physical Requirements & Work Environment:
- Manufacturing/laboratory environment with exposure to production equipment, chemicals, and biological materials
- Ability to stand, walk, or sit for extended periods throughout the shift
- Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs.
- Frequent repetitive motions and hands-on production activities
- Must follow all PPE, safety, and quality requirements
- Ability to work effectively in a regulated production environment
