Responsibilities
The Production Operator is responsible for performing daily tasks and activities that include operating a printing press or slitting machine to produce quality material to customer specifications.
• Reports to Group Performance Leader (GPL). Some daily activity may be directed by Technical Manager, Process Engineering and other Plant Leadership Team (PLT) members.
• Safety – All Sealed Air safety rules and regulations must be adhered to at all times. Only job tasks that a contingent worker is trained on, will they be allowed to perform.
o First day of employment will be approximately 8 hours of safety orientation
o Steel toed boots or shoes are required and must meet composite or steel ANSI / ASTM certification. Proof should be brought with contingent worker to the orientation.
o Safety glasses, hair nets, beard nets, and ear plugs will be provided.
o Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds routinely during the 12 hour shift
• Quality - Must meet strict quality requirements of Sealed Air and maintain safe quality food handling guidelines at all times.
• Able to work both independently and within a team, generating results with general/minimal guidance from management
o Load raw materials as needed (using overhead hoist and doffing equipment)
o Input production information into computer (SAP experience is a plus)
o Loading inks, plates, anilox, etc
o Read work instructions and set up machine to produce the required results
o Must be able to use a tape measure fluently and understand metric measures
o Achieve production and quality metrics for rate and yield***

Must be willing to work days or night shifts
• Positive work history with an ability to manage multiple tasks
• Able to work both independently and within a team, generating results with general/minimal guidance from management
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills along with professional presentation and negotiation skills.
• Education – Must have a high school diploma or GED equivalent
