Production Operator
2nd shift
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor production equipment and product output to ensure consistent quality and adherence to specifications.
- Assist equipment operators with setup, adjustments, and routine operation of production machinery.
- Identify and remove non-conforming or damaged products from the production line and report issues to supervision.
- Stack, band, sort, and prepare finished materials for storage or shipment.
- Maintain steady material flow to prevent interruptions in production.
- Perform visual inspections to verify product dimensions, appearance, and overall quality.
- Follow all established safety protocols and operational procedures, including PPE requirements (steel toe boots).
- Support basic cleaning and upkeep of production equipment and surrounding work areas.
- Communicate production concerns, equipment issues, or quality variations to the appropriate team members.
- Assist with material handling and movement of products as needed, including forklift operation if certified.
- Support general plant operations and perform other duties as assigned.
- Prior experience in manufacturing, construction materials, or industrial production environments is helpful but not required.
- Ability to work in a physically demanding environment with frequent standing, lifting, bending, and repetitive motion.
- Must be able to regularly lift up to 50 pounds.
- Comfortable working in outdoor, dusty, noisy, or non-climate-controlled environments.
- Basic mechanical understanding and ability to follow operational instructions.
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on safety and product quality.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and within a team structure.
