Shift: 1st Shift, Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
Position Summary
This is an entry-level manufacturing position primarily responsible for performing weigh-up and packaging duties within the production department. The Production Operator ensures the highest quality product is produced at the lowest possible cost while meeting customer specifications and delivery requirements in accordance with company policies and procedures.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Obtain and review the correct batch documentation.
- Ensure the correct ingredients are delivered to the work area.
- May be required to gather ingredients for mixing and accurately weigh materials according to recipe specifications.
- Set up, operate, and start weigh-up and packaging equipment while ensuring compliance with operating and safety procedures.
- Notify appropriate personnel of any issues, concerns, or equipment problems in a timely manner.
- Safely process, screen, cut, package, and palletize materials according to customer specifications.
- Supply and support Production Operators with the necessary materials and functions to maintain efficient operations.
- Perform required machine cleaning and sanitation procedures.
- Complete and maintain all required production paperwork and documentation.
- Follow all company safety policies, work rules, and regulations.
- Maintain departmental housekeeping and cleanliness standards.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Physical and Environmental Requirements
While performing the duties of this position, employees are regularly required to:
- Stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl.
- Use hands to handle, feel, and manipulate tools, controls, and materials.
- Communicate effectively through talking and hearing.
- Occasionally sit as needed.
Physical Requirements
- Frequently lift and/or move up to 55 pounds.
- Occasionally handle materials weighing up to 250 pounds with appropriate assistance and equipment.
- Possess close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

- Moderate noise levels, with occasional exposure to high-noise areas.
- Frequent exposure to wet and humid conditions, dust, fumes, airborne particles, vibration, non-hazardous chemicals, and outdoor weather conditions.
- Regular exposure to moving mechanical parts and airborne particles.
- Occasional exposure to toxic or caustic chemicals and electrical hazards.
