Job Title: Production Operator
Job Summary:
The Production Operator is responsible for operating production equipment, monitoring manufacturing processes, maintaining quality standards, and ensuring a safe and clean work environment. The role requires following standard operating procedures (SOPs), meeting production targets, and working collaboratively with the production team.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate production machinery and equipment according to company procedures.
- Monitor equipment performance and report any malfunctions or maintenance needs.
- Inspect products to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications.
- Perform routine machine setup, adjustments, and basic troubleshooting.
- Record production data, including output, downtime, and quality checks.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Follow all health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Meet daily production targets and deadlines.
- Assist with packaging, labeling, and preparing products for shipment.
- Work closely with supervisors and team members to improve production efficiency.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous manufacturing or production experience is preferred but not always required.
- Ability to operate machinery safely.
- Basic math and computer skills.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs (23 kg), if required.
- Willingness to work shifts, weekends, or overtime as needed.
