A Production Coordinator provides support to the Production Group Leader by performing various administrative and clerical tasks. It usually entails processing documents, preparing presentations and reports, handling calls and correspondence, liaising with internal and external parties such as suppliers and distributors, organizing files, managing appointments and schedules, and running errands as necessary. They may also participate and work together with the Production Group Leader in setting goals, arranging activities, establishing guidelines, coordinating staff, and monitoring operations to ensure a smooth and efficient workflow. The Production Coordinator divides their work as 70% direction, organization, administrative task and 30% working on the production lines.
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE ( Must be 18 years old or older )
- Must possess basic math and computer skills, as well as good communication skills, both verbal and written
- Must be able to listen and follow basic instructions and work routines from leaders
- Responsible for knowing and adhering to Good Manufacturing Standards read and interpret documents such as safety rules and operating instructions
- Ability to timely and accurately.
- Ability to complete reports and forms
- Ability to understand and follow safety rules and instructions
- Frequently required standing, reaching, bending, kneeling, and moving about the facility Works in high noise areas and use mandatory hearing protection
- Able to work in both a hot and cold environment
- May be required to work various shifts
- Works with potentially hazardous chemicals and/or equipment
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
- Demonstrated understanding of production scheduling and other production variables such as run-rates, processing times, change-over times, etc.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems
