Production Associate

Position Summary

Hands-on manufacturing role where associates help to support daily manufacturing and production operations for Food Manufacturing site. This position is responsible for setting up and operating equipment, inspecting and sorting products, maintaining product quality, and assisting with the movement and packaging of finished goods in a Production or Warehouse setting.
Location: City of Industry, CA
Pay rate: $18.88 per hr
Shifts: Multiple

Essential Job Responsibilities

  • Assisting with setting up and operating equipment
  • Checking product quality
  • Counting and labeling products
  • Sorting finished goods and removing damaged products
  • Moving materials throughout the production area
  • Packaging finished products for shipment
  • Performing general manual labor duties as needed.
  • Mark and label containers, container tags, and finished products.
  • Move, organize, and sort products, materials, and orders.
  • Load, unload, lift, and move materials throughout the facility.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Follow all company safety and quality procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Ability to perform repetitive manual labor in a fast-paced production environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Preferred:

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment.

Schedule & Working Conditions

  • Work may be performed in temperatures ranging from approximately 35°F to 95°F, with occasional exposure to temperatures above 95°F.
  • Work environment may include exposure to moving mechanical equipment.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive hand and finger movements.
  • Frequently walk, reach overhead, and move throughout the facility.
  • Ability to occasionally bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl.
  • Ability to regularly lift 20-40 lbs.
  • Ability to safely handle and move materials as required.
  • Must have adequate close vision, color vision, depth perception, and ability to focus.
