Position Summary
Immediate need for a production associate in Canfield, OH. This position is responsible for supporting the processing and finishing of steel coils through various production operations. Team members work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment while ensuring quality, safety, and productivity standards are met.
This is an excellent opportunity for individuals with manufacturing, warehouse, steel processing, or machine operation experience who are looking to grow with an established company.
Essential Responsibilities

  • Operate production equipment used in the processing, coating, and finishing of steel products.
  • Load, unload, and move steel coils and materials using overhead cranes, forklifts, or other material handling equipment (training provided where applicable).
  • Perform quality inspections to verify product specifications, dimensions, and surface quality.
  • Read and interpret work orders, production schedules, and measuring devices.
  • Monitor equipment performance and report mechanical issues or production concerns.
  • Assist with machine setup, changeovers, and routine adjustments.
  • Package finished materials for shipment according to customer specifications.
  • Maintain accurate production records and complete required documentation.
  • Keep work areas clean and organized while following 5S and housekeeping standards.
  • Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and PPE requirements.
  • Work collaboratively with supervisors and team members to meet daily production goals.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Previous manufacturing, warehouse, machine operation, or steel processing experience preferred.
  • Experience operating overhead cranes and/or forklifts is a plus.
  • Ability to accurately read a tape measure and perform basic math.
  • Mechanical aptitude and the ability to learn manufacturing equipment.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.
  • Reliable attendance and strong work ethic.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Physical Requirements
  • Frequently stand, walk, bend, lift, and perform repetitive movements throughout the shift.
  • Lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.
  • Work safely around moving machinery, steel products, and industrial equipment.
  • Ability to work in varying temperatures within a manufacturing environment.
Work Environment
  • Manufacturing and steel processing facility.
  • Fast-paced production environment with exposure to noise, moving equipment, and industrial machinery.
  • Required use of personal protective equipment (PPE), including safety glasses, hearing protection, steel-toe boots, and other PPE as required.
