Entry-level manufacturing professional responsible for weigh-up and packaging operations within a production environment. Ensures high-quality output while meeting customer specifications, safety standards, and production deadlines in accordance with company policies.
Key Responsibilities
- Obtain and verify batch documentation and ensure correct ingredients are delivered to the work area
- Weigh and prepare ingredients according to precise recipe specifications
- Set up, operate, and monitor weigh-up and packaging machinery in compliance with safety and operating procedures
- Inspect equipment controls to ensure proper functionality and adherence to safety standards
- Process materials by batching, screening, cutting, packaging, and palletizing according to customer requirements
- Supply production operators with necessary materials to maintain efficient workflow and minimize downtime
- Perform routine machine cleaning and sanitation procedures
- Accurately complete and maintain production records and documentation
- Communicate equipment issues, safety concerns, or production problems promptly to supervisors
- Follow all workplace safety policies and maintain a clean, organized work environment
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
- Regularly required to stand, walk, bend, kneel, crouch, and use hands for handling tools and materials
- Frequently lift up to 55 lbs; occasionally assist with loads up to 250 lbs
- Work in environments with dust, fumes, airborne particles, humidity, and moving machinery
- Exposure to moderate to high noise levels depending on the work area
- Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) required, including safety glasses, steel-toe boots, gloves, respirators, and hearing protection
- Requires strong visual abilities, including close vision, distance vision, and depth perception
