Nesco Resource is currently sourcing for a Production Assistant for our client in Clinton Township, MI. This is a 1st shift contract to hire position.
Pay Rate
:
$18 per hour
Shift:
- 6:00am to 2:30pm Monday through Friday (Some Saturdays as well)
- 6:00am to 4:30pm (Overtime schedule)- Overtime is based upon production needs
Basic Function
Responsible for supporting press room, laser, fabrication, assembly departments and other.
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities
- To support laser department, cutting and deburring of parts.
- Support spot-welding department, spot welding and clean of assemblies.
- To support press room, shearing and stamping of parts.
- Support shipping department, packaging and driving as needed. (chuffers license req'd)
- Maintain equipment in a condition that does not compromise safety.
- Operate angle grinders and wire wheels in order to deburr parts.
- Analyzing and problem-solving issues with projects.
- Able to operate Hilo's and other material handling equipment as needed. (Hilo license req'd)
- To operate punch press adding tooling holes.
- Take pride in work and produce quality parts.
- Keep departments / shop clean and orderly.
- Scanning in and out of jobs using the ERP system.
- Other duties when requested.
- Experience using a variety of hand tools.
- Experience in using metal cutting tools, tape measures and calipers.
- Must be able to interpret blue prints.
- Must be able to read and understand specifications, work orders, bill of materials, and work instructions.
- Ability to communicate quality non-conformances verbally and effectively present information to supervisor, co-workers and management.
- Knowledge of relative.
- Ability to work in a TEAM environment.
Education/Training
Degree: High School Diploma or GED required.
Experience
Prior shop experience.
