Summary:
Nesco Resource is seeking reliable and motivated Processing Operators to join a leading food manufacturing company on a temp to hire basis. This is an excellent opportunity to work with an industry leader known for producing high-quality freeze-dried food products in a fast-paced, team-oriented manufacturing environment.

As a Processing Operator, you will operate and maintain production equipment, ensure product quality, and support daily manufacturing operations while following strict safety and quality standards. Candidates with previous manufacturing or food production experience and strong mechanical aptitude are encouraged to apply.

Shift(s):
Day Shift: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
Night Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
Rotating 2-2-3 Schedule: 2 Days On, 2 Days Off - Alternating Weekends Off

  • Example:
    • Week 1: Sun (Off), Mon–Tues (On), Wed–Thurs (Off), Fri–Sat (On) = 48 Hours
    • Week 2: Sun (On), Mon–Tues (Off), Wed–Thurs (On), Fri–Sat (Off) = 36 Hours
Pay:
  • Day Shift: $21.40/hour
  • Night Shift: $22.40/hour (Includes $1.00/hour shift differential)
Core Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Operate, monitor, and adjust production equipment.
  • Perform equipment changeovers, routine maintenance, and cleaning following SOPs.
  • Coordinate daily production activities to meet quality and production goals.
  • Monitor production flow and report equipment or process issues promptly.
  • Perform in-process quality checks and maintain accurate production documentation.
  • Report product deviations and non-conformances.
  • Partner with Maintenance to troubleshoot equipment issues.
  • Participate in corrective actions and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment.
  • Follow all company safety, food safety, and GMP procedures.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED required; technical training or college coursework preferred.
  • 1–2 years of manufacturing experience, preferably in food production or a GMP environment.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Basic computer skills including data entry and manufacturing software.
  • Basic math skills, including unit conversions.
  • Ability to read and follow SOPs, work instructions, and technical documentation.
  • Reliable attendance and flexibility to work rotating shifts.
  • Regularly lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Frequent standing, walking, climbing, bending, twisting, pushing, pulling, reaching, and carrying.
  • Ability to work in environments with varying temperatures.
  • Comfortable working at heights when required.
  • Frequent use of hands for operating equipment and handling materials.
