Position Summary
The Processing Operator is responsible for manufacturing liquid pediatric and medical nutritional products in a GMP-regulated production environment. This role operates and monitors computer-controlled processing equipment, weighs and stages raw materials, documents production activities, and ensures products are manufactured according to work orders, quality standards, and regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate is safety-focused, detail-oriented, and able to perform physically demanding work while maintaining compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Prepare, operate, monitor, and document computer-controlled blending processes.
- Weigh, document, and stage raw ingredients using a computerized weighing system.
- Operate and monitor computer-controlled Clean-in-Place (CIP) systems used to sanitize manufacturing equipment, including tanks and heat treatment systems.
- Perform product line operations, including standardization, final water additions, and ingredient blending with flavors, oils, and other components.
- Prepare, operate, monitor, and document bulk slurry and heat treatment processes.
- Follow work orders, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and batch records to ensure accurate production and documentation.
- Receive, transport, and handle bulk raw ingredients, chemicals, and other production materials.
- Maintain Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) by cleaning equipment, maintaining work areas, and performing basic preventative maintenance.
- Accurately complete production documentation and maintain manufacturing records.
- Work safely while supporting team members and assisting with additional production duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Some college coursework or vocational training is preferred.
Preferred Experience
- Previous experience in food manufacturing, pharmaceutical, nutritional, or other batch-processing environments.
- Experience working in a GMP-regulated manufacturing facility.
- Familiarity with computer-controlled manufacturing systems and automated processing equipment.

Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift, move, and handle raw ingredients and production materials throughout the manufacturing process.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods.
- Must be able to work safely around manufacturing equipment and chemicals while wearing required personal protective equipment (PPE).
