Overview
Join our team in Chandler, AZ, as a Process Engineering Technician within the Aerospace industry, specializing in investment casting. This full-time role in the Engineering Department is perfect for individuals with a passion for manufacturing, particularly in developing and optimizing processes for investment cast turbine components. You'll collaborate closely with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Maintenance, and external tooling vendors to enhance production processes, develop tooling and fixtures, and support casting programs from inception to completion.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Engineering and Manufacturing teams to create, update, and maintain precise work instructions and Tech Cards.
- Assist in developing manufacturing fixtures and tooling to enhance product consistency, quality, and cycle time.
- Coordinate with tooling vendors to obtain quotes, manage designs, and ensure timely delivery of tooling and fixtures.
- Support Engineering in coordinating metallurgical and mechanical testing of investment cast products.
- Track development castings and collaborate with Manufacturing and Engineering to ensure timely processing and expedition according to schedules.
- Collect and analyze Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) results, including scrap, rework, and yield data.
- Identify opportunities to improve manufacturing processes, efficiency, quality, and cost.
- Collaborate effectively across multiple organizational levels, including Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, and Maintenance.
- Maintain a strong sense of urgency to ensure development activities remain on schedule.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Strong technical writing and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while contributing effectively within a team.
- Strong organizational skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines and maintain schedules.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in the aerospace industry, particularly with investment casting processes.
- Familiarity with metallurgical and mechanical testing procedures.
- Knowledge of Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) methods and data analysis.
