Nesco Resource is hiring a Process Operator-Powder for a manufacturing company in Towanda, PA. This is a great opportunity to get your foot in the door— we will train you!

Monday -Friday
2nd shift 3:20pm- 11:50pm
Hourly rate $20.00-$20.50

We are seeking a Powder Process Operator to set up and operate a variety of processing equipment used to produce tungsten and tungsten-thoriated powders. This position is responsible for safely and accurately operating equipment, monitoring processes, performing quality checks, and maintaining accurate production records.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, mechanically inclined, safety-conscious, and comfortable working in a manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate reduction, calcining, sifting, and milling equipment
  • Dry, acid wash, and blend various powders according to established procedures
  • Transfer raw materials and finished materials to and from processing equipment
  • Perform in-process checks and make adjustments as required
  • Accurately weigh and identify materials
  • Complete labels, blend sheets, production logs, and other required documentation accurately and neatly
  • Collect process data and submit samples for analysis
  • Perform quality, safety, and environmental checks and inspections
  • Train and assist new operators as needed
  • Assist with production scheduling and inventory activities
  • Provide basic direction to furnace operators when the Group Leader is absent
  • Immediately report irregularities or unusual conditions involving processes, materials, or equipment
  • Perform minor maintenance and housekeeping tasks, including:
    • Unplugging service lines
    • Changing dust collector lines
    • Repairing tote bins
    • Removing mill blades for cleaning
    • Other basic equipment maintenance as assigned
  • Maintain clean, orderly, and safe work areas, machinery, tools, and equipment
  • Follow all company policies and procedures
  • Comply with all applicable company, state, and federal safety and environmental regulations
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications & Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • SPC training required
  • Must successfully pass required visual, hearing, and physical examinations
  • Must successfully complete the required Powered Industrial Truck/Equipment Training
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow established procedures
  • Ability to accurately document production information and maintain records
  • Ability to work safely around manufacturing equipment and materials
  • Mechanical aptitude and basic troubleshooting skills are a plus
  • Ability to work independently while also functioning effectively as part of a team
