Position Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Press Brake Operator to join our manufacturing team. The Press Brake Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining press brake machinery to bend, form, and shape metal components according to specifications and production requirements. The ideal candidate will have experience reading blueprints, using precision measuring tools, and maintaining quality standards in a fast-paced production environment.
Essential Job Duties
- Set up and operate press brake machines to bend and form metal parts according to work orders and blueprints.
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and production specifications.
- Perform machine adjustments, tooling changes, and setup verification.
- Measure finished products using calipers, micrometers, tape measures, and other precision measuring instruments.
- Conduct quality inspections to ensure parts meet specifications and tolerances.
- Monitor machine performance and report any mechanical issues to maintenance or supervision.
- Maintain accurate production records and complete required documentation.
- Follow all safety procedures, company policies, and manufacturing standards.
- Keep work area clean, organized, and free of safety hazards.
- Assist with other production duties as assigned.
- Previous experience operating a press brake machine preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
- Experience using measuring tools and understanding tolerances.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Basic math and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods during the shift.
- Frequently lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, and reach throughout the workday.
- Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, machinery, and varying temperatures.
- Full-time position
- Overtime may be required based on production needs
- Pay rate based on experience
3rd shift: 11pm-7am OT as needed. Monday through Friday
Pay:$17.50 with $1 shift differential
