Key Responsibilities
- Blueprint Interpretation:Read and understand engineering blueprints and design specs to find correct product measurements.
- Machine Setup:Prepare the press brake by choosing the correct dies, tools, and metal materials for each specific job.
- CNC Programming:Input program data into the CNC (Computer Numerical Control) system to control cutting and bending, making production adjustments as needed.
- Quality Inspection:Check final metal parts to make sure they match exact measurements, angles, and quality standards.
- Material Management:Keep the work area clean and organized, and restock raw materials to keep production running smoothly.[ 1, 2, 3]
Requirements & Qualifications
- Prior experience in press machine operation, steel manufacturing, or sheet metal work.
- Strong knowledge of CNC equipmentoperation and programming.
- Ability to read technical blueprints and use measuring tools.
Core Responsibilities
- Machine Operation:Set up and run fabrication and grinding tools safely to meet daily production quotas.
- Quality Control:Inspect finished workpieces with gauges, calipers, or micrometers to confirm they match blueprints and quality standards.
- Maintenance & Safety:Keep the work area clean, follow plant safety rules (such as wearing required personal protective equipment), and perform basic troubleshooting or preventive care on machinery.
Key Requirements
- Experience:Prior background operating manufacturing, assembly, or metal-fabrication machinery.
- Technical Skills:Ability to read blueprints, work instructions, and use precision measuring tools.
- Work Ethic:Attention to detail, commitment to workplace safety, and readiness to work overtime or alternate shifts when requested.
