$17 hr. plus $3 shift premium
Overview
Join our team and play a crucial role in enhancing the durability, corrosion resistance, and electrical conductivity of parts used in critical data center infrastructure and power management systems. You will be responsible for preparing and coating metal or plastic components with a protective or conductive finish.
Responsibilities
- Surface Preparation: Clean, mask, and rack metal components to prepare them for the plating process.
- Machine Operation: Operate and tend to industrial plating machinery, regulating controls like voltage, current, and temperature.
- Chemical Handling: Prepare plating and cleaning solutions, test bath chemistry, and refill tanks as needed.
- Quality Assurance: Inspect finished parts for defects such as uneven coverage and use precision tools like micrometers to measure coating thickness.
- Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine preventive maintenance, clean tanks, and ensure equipment is functioning properly and safely.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
- Familiarity with operating industrial machinery.
- Basic understanding of chemical handling and safety procedures.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience as a plating operator or in a similar role.
- Knowledge of quality assurance processes and precision measurement tools.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
