Job Summary

We are seeking a Plant Financial Controller to join our team at the NJ manufacturing plant.

This role will be responsible for managing all site financial operations, including budgeting, cost accounting, inventory valuation, and monthly closing in compliance with GAAP. They act as a strategic partner to the plant manager, analyzing production variances to drive profitability and operational efficiency.

Main Responsibilities

  • Provide high-level analysis to the GM on business drivers, market trends, and profitability by product line. Lead the annual budget and quarterly forecasting processes for the entire US mobility segment.
  • Oversee the month-end close process for the plant.
  • Ensure the site adheres to GAAP and SOX internal controls. Serve as the lead liaison for segment-level audits.
  • Manage product costing, including material, labor, and overhead cost allocations to ensure accurate pricing and profitability analysis.
  • Lead the annual budgeting process for the US mobility unit, working with department heads to set realistic financial targets.
  • Oversee cost control initiatives and implement cost reduction programs in coordination with operations and procurement teams.
  • Develop key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor operational efficiency and cost controls in the manufacturing process.
  • Provide strategic financial insights to support long-term business planning and decision-making.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA/CMA preferred).
  • 7 years of experience in a financial management or controller role in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of cost accounting, financial analysis, and ERP systems.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and cost drivers.
  • Ability to collaborate across departments to drive financial performance.
