We are seeking a Piping Designer to support piping layout and design activities for a large industrial refining project.
Responsibilities
- Develop piping layouts and design deliverables.
- Create and revise piping plans, sections, details, and related drawings.
- Interpret P&IDs and equipment information.
- Develop piping routing around process equipment and facility structures.
- Coordinate designs with other engineering disciplines.
- Participate in 3D model reviews and resolve design conflicts.
- Incorporate engineering comments and project standards into designs.
- Support material takeoffs and other piping documentation as required.
Qualifications
- Piping design experience within industrial/process facilities.
- Experience with refining, petrochemical, chemical processing, oil and gas, or EPC projects preferred.
- Ability to interpret P&IDs and equipment layouts.
- Experience with 3D plant-design software.
- Strong understanding of piping layout/design principles.
- Ability to work onsite in Houston.
Preferred
- Current AutoCAD Plant 3D experience strongly preferred.
