Tax Research and Analysis Specialist – Department of Revenue

Department of Revenue is seeking detail-oriented professionals who enjoy solving problems and working in a collaborative, customer-focused environment. This position is responsible for reviewing tax document and payment errors, researching and analyzing information, and making corrections that require a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.

Job Summary

This role is ideal for individuals who thrive in a production-based environment with deadlines and performance standards. The position involves researching discrepancies, validating information, performing calculations, and working across multiple systems to correct taxpayer records and payments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Research, analyze, and validate tax documents and payments requiring detailed review
  • Review and correct errors using multiple computer systems
  • Perform mathematical calculations, cross-referencing, and data analysis
  • Consult procedural manuals to ensure compliance with established guidelines
  • Meet productivity, accuracy, and deadline expectations
  • Collaborate with team members to resolve complex issues
  • Deliver exceptional customer-focused support

The ideal candidate has experience in banking, accounting, data analysis, or administrative work involving credits and debits, and is comfortable working with multiple systems in a deadline-driven environment. They are detail-oriented, analytical, and motivated by solving complex problems while delivering accurate results.
