Power of Attorney Specialist / Administrative Support

Schedule: Approximately 10% onsite as needed for mail processing

Position Summary

This position is responsible for processing Arizona Forms 285 and 290, providing administrative support, and serving as a point of contact for taxpayer inquiries related to Power of Attorney (POA) and Penalty Abatement forms.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process incoming Arizona Forms 285 and 290, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Prepare and process Power of Attorney (POA) and Penalty Abatement forms for entry into the tax accounting system and PRU team inventory.
  • Organize and securely maintain paper files, emails, faxes, and supporting documentation.
  • Research and resolve POA and prescreening questions and issues.
  • Serve as a point of contact for taxpayer inquiries regarding Forms 285 and 290.
  • Provide Tier 1/basic customer support and assistance with form completion.
  • Escalate more complex taxpayer cases and inquiries to senior team members when appropriate.
  • Process incoming mail and perform other administrative duties as assigned.

Required Skills

  • Basic administrative experience including typing, filing, and document management.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
  • Customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience using basic office equipment.
  • 10-key experience.
  • Previous experience in tax, legal, records, or administrative environments is a plus.

Education Preference

  • Associate's degree preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

This position offers a primarily remote schedule, with occasional onsite requirements for mail processing and other business needs.
