Tax Document Processing Specialist

Position Overview
Seeking a detail-oriented administrative professional to support the processing of Arizona tax forms and taxpayer inquiries. This role is responsible for reviewing, organizing, researching, and processing Forms 285 and 290 while ensuring accuracy, confidentiality, and excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Process incoming Arizona Forms 285 (Power of Attorney) and Forms 290 for accuracy and completeness.
- Prepare and process Power of Attorney and Penalty Abatement forms for entry into tax accounting systems and team inventories.
- Organize and securely maintain paper files, emails, faxes, and related documentation.
- Research and resolve issues related to Power of Attorney and prescreening inquiries.
- Serve as a point of contact for taxpayer inquiries regarding Forms 285 and 290.
- Provide Tier 1 customer support and assist taxpayers with basic form completion questions.
- Escalate complex cases and inquiries to senior team members as appropriate.
- Process incoming and outgoing mail as assigned.
- Perform additional administrative duties as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Previous administrative or clerical experience.
- Strong typing, filing, and data entry skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate's degree or equivalent work experience.
- Experience with basic office equipment, including scanners, copiers, and fax machines.
- 10-key experience.
- Customer service experience in an office environment.
