Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Important Requirement:
This position supports an ITAR-regulated facility. Candidates must meet U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) and ITAR requirements and be U.S. Citizens or U.S. Nationals.


Position Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented Payroll Coordinator to support a plant start-up by managing employee timekeeping and payroll-related activities. This role is responsible for ensuring employee time and attendance records are accurately maintained in the Kronos timekeeping system so employees are paid accurately and on time.

The ideal candidate will be dependable, organized, and capable of working independently while meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Strong attention to detail, confidentiality, and communication skills are essential.


Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain and update employee time and attendance records within the timekeeping system.
  • Review and verify employee timesheets for accuracy and resolve discrepancies.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, payroll procedures, and applicable labor laws.
  • Partner with managers and Human Resources to maintain accurate employee information.
  • Communicate with employees and management regarding timekeeping and payroll questions.
  • Obtain weekly time approvals in accordance with payroll processing deadlines.
  • Work closely with Payroll Operations to resolve timekeeping discrepancies.
  • Generate reports related to hours worked, overtime, attendance, and payroll data.
  • Prioritize multiple assignments, projects, and ongoing responsibilities.
  • Support end-to-end timekeeping operations.
  • Maintain documentation for payroll and timekeeping processes.
  • Handle confidential employee information with discretion.
  • Contribute to departmental process improvements and standardization initiatives.
  • Collaborate effectively within a team environment.

Required Qualifications

  • Experience using time and attendance systems.
  • Working knowledge of payroll and timekeeping procedures and applicable labor laws.
  • Strong data entry skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines.
  • Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly Microsoft Excel, including Pivot Tables.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with individuals across multiple locations, time zones, and cultures.
  • Ability to analyze large volumes of data and understand business implications.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Experience with:
    • Kronos
    • UKG Workforce Central
    • Pro Workforce Management
  • Previous customer service experience is a plus.
