Payroll / Timekeeper
Location & Schedule
- Primarily onsite at a conference/training facility in Saginaw, MI, with potential work at a nearby college campus
- Position will transition to a new manufacturing plant location once construction is completed (estimated this summer)
- Monday – Friday | 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Position Overview
We are seeking a Payroll / Timekeeper to support a plant start-up operation. This role is responsible for ensuring employee time and attendance records are accurately maintained within the Kronos system to ensure timely and accurate payroll processing.
The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, dependable, and capable of managing sensitive information with discretion. This individual should thrive in a fast-paced environment, work independently, and effectively manage deadlines and competing priorities.
Key Responsibilities
- Input, update, and maintain employee time and attendance records within the timekeeping system
- Verify timesheet accuracy and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner
- Ensure compliance with company policies, payroll procedures, and applicable labor laws
- Coordinate with management and HR to maintain accurate employee records
- Communicate with employees and leadership regarding payroll and timekeeping issues
- Obtain weekly time approvals in accordance with payroll deadlines
- Partner with payroll operations to resolve discrepancies and support timely payroll processing
- Generate reports related to hours worked, overtime, and attendance data
- Prioritize daily tasks, project work, and operational initiatives
- Support end-to-end timekeeping operations
- Maintain accurate process documentation
- Properly identify and protect confidential information
- Collaborate within a team-oriented environment while supporting operational efficiency and process standardization initiatives
Required Qualifications
- Experience with timekeeping and attendance systems
- Knowledge of payroll and timekeeping procedures and related laws
- Strong attention to detail and data entry accuracy
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Effective time management skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, including Pivot Tables
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work across multiple teams, time zones, and cultures
- Ability to process and analyze large amounts of data and understand business impact
- Tech-savvy, self-driven, and detail-oriented mindset
- Experience with Kronos preferred
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree preferred
- Experience with Kronos / UKG Workforce Central or Pro Workforce Management systems
- Customer service experience is a plus, but not required
