Patternmaker Apprentice
Currently seeking the right candidate to enter our Patternmaker apprenticeship program
Apprentice training program overview
- Three-year apprenticeship program
- At the completion of the program, you will have learned the fundamental skills required to design and build foundry / casting tooling
- Required training will include in-house, online and offsite (Community College)
- In-house training includes
o Hands-on experience training with individuals in our green sand-casting operation (job shadowing)
o Training alongside journeyman patternmakers with many years of experience in the trade (job shadowing and assisting)
o Programming, setup and operation of CNC machining equipment
o 3D scanning and printing
Minimum requirements to begin the apprentice program (applicant must have verifiable evidence of at least one of the below)
- High School Diploma and a minimum 80% score on our skills assessment test
- Machine Tool Technology Certificate or currently enrolled in such program
- Proven / demonstrated strong background in manual or CNC machining
