Paralegal
$25.00 - $30.00/hour
Key Responsibilities:
* Case Management:
Oversee litigation files, track critical court deadlines, and maintain attorney calendars according to state and local procedural rules.
* Client Communications:
Serve as a primary point of contact for clients, gathering facts, providing case status updates, and offering support as needed.
* Discovery & Document Production:
Draft and respond to interrogations, requests for production, and subpoenas. Manage the intake and organization of large volumes of records (such as medical, billing, and employment documents).
* Trial & Mediation Preparation:
Summarize deposition transcripts, prepare chronologies of events, and organize exhibits, binders, and witness materials for trials, mediations, or arbitrations.
Qualifications & Requirements:
* Education & Experience:
A Bachelor's degree or ABA-Approved paralegal certificate combined with 2+ years of relevant civil litigation or plaintiff-side experience OR 3+ years of relevant civil litigation or plaintiff-side experience.
* Technical Skills:
Proficiency in legal practice management software, document management platforms, and Microsoft Outlook.
* Analytical Skills:
High attention to detail for reviewing medical chronologies, tracking damages/bills, and negotiating liens.
* Interpersonal Skills:
Ability to work collaboratively with trial teams, court personnel, opposing counsel, and medical or technical expert witnesses.
