The Packaging Machine Operator
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate packaging machinery safely and efficiently in compliance with GMPs, safety, and quality standards
- Inspect products throughout the packaging process to ensure quality and defect-free output
- Maintain continuous machine operation by monitoring codes, dates, and equipment performance
- Perform minor machine adjustments and repairs using appropriate hand and bench tools
- Accurately complete production documentation, reports, and shift records
- Communicate effectively with team members and oncoming shifts to ensure smooth transitions
Key Tasks and Duties:
- Feed raw materials into packaging machines and verify correct product configurations
- Conduct routine quality checks and make necessary equipment or process adjustments
- Monitor and adjust machine controls related to vacuum, heat, pressure, timing, and water flow
- Track raw material inventory levels and notify the warehouse of shortages or issues
- Maintain detailed production data, including shift reports and system entries
- Support team objectives by performing additional duties as assigned by the Team Leader
Qualifications:
- 1–2 years of experience as a Packaging Machine Operator (PMO) or in a similar manufacturing role
- Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations accurately
- Enjoys hands-on, active work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Demonstrates strong attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and precision
- Motivated to gain valuable experience and advance within a manufacturing career
- Able to follow procedures, safety guidelines, and quality standards consistently
