Nesco Resource is currently seeking a Needle Punch Operator for a manufacturing facility in Gray Court, SC.
This position is responsible for supporting the production process by operating equipment, monitoring product quality, assisting with machine setup, and ensuring a safe and efficient work environment. The ideal candidate will be dependable, safety-focused, and comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.
Job Responsibilities:
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
- Operate production equipment within established operating standards.
- Monitor raw materials, finished products, and equipment for defects or process deviations.
- Assist with machine setup, operation, and changeovers.
- Perform routine equipment inspections and basic maintenance tasks.
- Maintain production records and monitor product quality.
- Conduct routine safety audits and report concerns.
- Keep work areas clean and organized throughout the shift.
- Support team operations and contribute to a positive work environment.
- Fill in for the Lead Operator when necessary.
- Assist in troubleshooting production issues to minimize downtime.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Previous manufacturing or production experience preferred.
- Basic understanding of manufacturing processes and machinery operation.
- Ability to follow detailed instructions and safety procedures.
- Strong attention to detail and reliability.
- Mechanical troubleshooting skills preferred.
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
- Familiarity with SAP or other ERP systems is a plus.
- Understanding of the metric system preferred.
- Forklift experience preferred.
- Carding, needle punch, textile, or nonwoven manufacturing experience is a plus.
- Ability to work 12-hour rotating day and night shifts.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
