Overview

Client is seeking an experienced Senior Network Engineer to design, implement, optimize, and support advanced enterprise network solutions across routing, switching, wireless, SD-WAN, automation, and infrastructure-as-code environments. This role will serve as a technical subject matter expert supporting complex network initiatives, cross-functional collaboration, operational reliability, and ongoing network innovation.

Core Responsibilities

Design and implement advanced network solutions across complex routing and switching environments using Arista, Cisco, and MIST platforms.

Support network deployments using Infrastructure as Code principles and automation-driven practices.

Configure, troubleshoot, and optimize enterprise routing protocols, including BGP and OSPF.

Architect, manage, and optimize wireless infrastructure, with a focus on MIST-based solutions.

Develop and maintain network automation workflows using Ansible, Terraform, Python, REST APIs, and related tools.

Partner with cross-functional teams to align network strategy with business needs.

Create and maintain network design documentation, configuration standards, SOPs, and governance documentation.

Evaluate emerging network technologies, vendors, and tools to improve performance, automation, scalability, and security.

Participate in on-call rotation for after-hours support and network reliability.

Essential Qualifications, Skills, and Technologies

Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or related field.

8+ years of IT experience as a Senior Network Engineer.

Advanced experience with routing protocols, including BGP and OSPF.

Strong switching experience in enterprise network environments.

Hands-on experience with Arista technologies, especially in data center and campus environments.

Hands-on experience using Arista CloudVision.

Experience with Cisco networking technologies.

Deep understanding of enterprise LAN and SD-WAN technologies.

Strong expertise designing and managing wireless networks.

Advanced network automation experience using Ansible, Python, and RESTful APIs.

Experience with Infrastructure as Code network deployment practices.

Familiarity with network monitoring and troubleshooting tools.

Strong communication skills with the ability to work across global teams and stakeholders.

Ability to manage multiple initiatives and competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Skills or Experience

Hands-on experience with MIST wireless solutions, including design, deployment, and performance optimization.

Experience with Terraform.

Hands-on experience with cloud networking, including AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, or hybrid cloud environments.

Manufacturing industry experience.

OT manufacturing environment experience.

Relevant certifications such as CCNP, Arista ACE L5, or equivalent.

Arista certifications and MIST qualifications.

Financial acumen related to budgeting, cost analysis, and vendor negotiations.

Work Details

Location: Hybrid preferred, 1 day per week onsite.

Preferred candidate location: Within 1 hour of Charlotte, NC or Corning, NY.

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM.

Overtime: Possible.

Flexibility: Some schedule flexibility may be required due to work with global teams.

Duration: Anticipated through end of year, with possibility of extension based on demand.

Travel: Potential domestic travel up to 30%; may be higher during critical projects.

Interview Process: Two 45-minute video interviews. First round with direct manager and Architect. Second round with Director. Third round possible if required for candidate consideration.
