Position Summary

This position is responsible for producing high-quality medical devices within a manufacturing cell. Under close supervision, the associate may perform a combination of assembly, repair, and testing operations on pacemakers, implantable cardioverter defibrillators (ICDs), leads, and related medical device assemblies. Work is performed according to standardized procedures and is closely reviewed for accuracy and quality.


Key Responsibilities

  • Perform assembly, repair, and testing operations on medical devices and related components.
  • Follow standardized manufacturing procedures and work instructions.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date job documentation for cell operations and functions.
  • Clearly communicate ideas, problems, and solutions to all levels of manufacturing management, both verbally and in writing.
  • Maintain a professional and positive attitude when interacting with internal and external customers, including facility tours.
  • Follow all safety guidelines and use appropriate safety equipment during operations.
  • Participate in continuous improvement and quality initiatives to enhance production processes and achieve quality and profitability goals.
  • Maintain accurate production and quality records to ensure traceability of all parts and resolution of quality concerns.
  • Demonstrate a basic understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles.
  • Work with Manufacturing Supervisors/Managers to establish and monitor individual goals and cell performance metrics.
  • Support divisional initiatives related to:
    • Quality Management Systems (QMS)
    • Environmental Management Systems (EMS)
    • Regulatory and compliance requirements

Qualifications & Skills

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Ability to read, understand, and follow written procedures and verbal instructions.
  • Basic computer skills and ability to use electronic data collection systems and software applications.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage workflow effectively.
  • Ability to handle and maneuver small components and parts with precision.
  • Ability to make sound decisions with minimal supervision.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality standards.
