Our client, a leading medical device manufacturer, is seeking a Mechanical Manufacturing Engineer to support manufacturing operations, improve equipment reliability, and lead capital improvement projects at its Rochester facility.

This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer who enjoys hands-on troubleshooting, equipment upgrades, and driving continuous improvement within a regulated manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities
Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical, pneumatic, and manufacturing equipment issues.
Lead equipment upgrade, replacement, and capital improvement projects.
Improve equipment reliability, uptime, productivity, quality, and safety.
Develop and maintain preventive maintenance procedures, SOPs, and engineering documentation.
Partner with Operations, Maintenance, Quality, and Engineering teams to support production.
Prepare engineering reports, capital requests (CARs), and technical documentation.
Participate in Lean Manufacturing, 5S, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications
BS or MS in Mechanical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering Technology.
5+ years of manufacturing engineering experience.
Strong mechanical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Experience supporting production equipment and manufacturing processes.
Ability to manage multiple projects and lead technical initiatives.
Familiarity with GMP manufacturing environments.

Preferred Experience
FDA-regulated medical device manufacturing.
ISO quality systems.
Motor drives, automation, process controls, vision systems, or manufacturing equipment.
Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, and continuous improvement.
