Nesco Data Center & Infrastructure is seeking two hands-on Data Center Installation Technicians to support a project with our liquid cooling customer inside a live data center environment. This role will assist with basic installation, unpacking, organization, and physical infrastructure support activities.
The ideal candidates are dependable, mechanically inclined, comfortable using basic hand tools, and able to perform repetitive physical tasks in a fast-paced environment. Previous data center experience is helpful but not required.
Key Responsibilities
- Unbox and unpack equipment and materials within the data center environment
- Assist with mounting and hanging PDUs in cabinets/racks
- Secure low-voltage cabling using zip ties and wire management best practices
- Install 1-inch clamps and assist with basic hardware fastening tasks
- Potentially install blank-off grommets and other cabinet accessories
- Support cabinet and door adjustments by assisting lead technicians onsite
- Break down boxes, remove packaging materials, and maintain a clean work area
- Follow written instructions and direction from onsite leads and project supervisors
- Perform repetitive project tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail
- Comfortable using basic hand tools, including razor cutters and screwdrivers
- Ability to use zip ties and perform basic cable management tasks
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
- Reliable attendance and professional attitude
- Comfortable working in a data center or technical environment
- Ability to lift, move, and carry equipment/materials throughout the shift
- Previous data center, warehouse, cabling, installation, or construction support experience
- Experience working around server cabinets, PDUs, or low-voltage cabling
- Familiarity with structured cabling or rack-and-stack environments is a plus
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift throughout the workday
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
