Professional Summary / Core Responsibilities

  • Product Development & Leadership: Lead cross-functional engineering initiatives to design, enhance, and optimize specialized industrial door systems and custom machinery throughout the full product lifecycle.
  • Engineering Change Management: Process and document Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) and Requests (ECRs), implementing design modifications to improve product performance, manufacturability, and cost efficiency.
  • Mechanical Analysis & FEA: Perform rigorous static, dynamic, stress, force, torque, and power calculations; conduct multi-body Finite Element Analysis (FEA) to validate structural integrity and mechanical performance.
  • Detailed Design & Documentation: Generate precision 3D CAD models, production-ready drawing sets, GD&T callouts, and multi-level Bills of Materials (BOM) using SOLIDWORKS and PDM systems.
  • Prototyping & Physical Testing: Design and build custom test fixtures, authoring detailed test protocols and quality documentation to validate mechanical components and system assemblies.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner directly with factory personnel, project managers, product leaders, and external vendors to ensure design alignment with plant capabilities and supply chain specifications.
  • Safety & Quality Standards: Drive compliance with industrial safety protocols, regulatory standards, and quality management practices across all engineering and prototype development phases.

Key Technical Skills & Qualifications
  • CAD & Product Data Management: SOLIDWORKS (3D Modeling, Configurations), SOLIDWORKS PDM, Drafting, GD&T, BOM Management.
  • Engineering Analysis & Software: Finite Element Analysis (FEA), Stress Analysis, Load/Torque Calculations, MATLAB, Advanced Excel (Macros, Computation).
  • Manufacturing & Testing: Custom Machine Building, Prototyping, Test Fixture Design, Blueprint Interpretation, Material Selection, Vendor Technical Support.
