We are looking for a hands-on, mechanically minded Mechanical Assembler to join our team in Kent, OH. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with tools, troubleshooting mechanical issues, and figuring out how things work.
Formal mechanical training is not required! If you're the type of person who enjoys working on cars, repairing equipment, taking things apart and putting them back together, or simply likes to tinker and solve mechanical problems, we'd love to hear from you.
What You'll Do
- Assemble and repair pumps and other industrial equipment.
- Read and follow assembly drawings, blueprints, and work instructions.
- Use hand tools and measuring equipment to complete quality assemblies.
- Work with mechanical components, piping, valves, fittings, and related hardware.
- Perform basic electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic assembly tasks as needed.
- Measure components and understand basic tolerances.
- Document work completed and accurately record production information.
- Identify and report material or quality issues.
- Work safely while maintaining a clean and organized work area.
- Participate in team meetings and continuous improvement activities.
- Use overhead cranes and other material-handling equipment as trained.
What We're Looking For
Required:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and a willingness to learn.
- Comfortable using basic hand tools.
- Ability to follow directions, work independently, and solve problems.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to work as part of a team.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform physical tasks including standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, and reaching.
- Willingness to follow all safety policies and wear required PPE.
Preferred, but Not Required:
- Mechanical repair or assembly experience.
- Experience working on automobiles, machinery, or other mechanical equipment.
- Millwright or mechanical coursework.
- Experience reading blueprints or engineering drawings.
- Familiarity with hydraulics, pneumatics, or electrical systems.
- Overhead crane experience.
