Shift: 1st Shift hours: Monday – Friday 7:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.
Pay Rate: $18/hr.

Supports our Assembled Products Division (APD) at offsite warehouse facility.

  • OTJ cross-training provided
  • Will train in the Assembly of Metal products primarily for Airport Runway signage and lights. Could also support Main Campus Assembly or Fabrication as per business needs at our main facility for the assembly of products for Power, Medical, Telecommunication, and Technology industries.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Mechanical Assembly of a variety of simple to complex metal cabinetry to supply essential businesses. (not an "assembly line” environment)

REQUIRED:
  • Previous knowledge, experience or interest in metal work/fabrication; assembly of products etc.
  • Ability to learn Vinyl application and assembly of a variety of metal products.
  • At main facility could learn also train on Finishing equipment such as a Fladder, Hand grinders, deburring equipment, etc.
  • 2-3 yrs. knowledge experience in mechanical assembly within a manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to read and accurately interpret prints /or schematics.
  • Mechanically inclined: able to use a variety of power/air and hand tools including rivet gun.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. with regularity. (average parts run 2-15 lbs).
  • Physical ability to stand, squat, bend, reach, pull, and push during the course of an 8-hour shift.
  • High attention to detail & fine tactical ability.
  • Pallet jack experience
  • Ability to take direction; work independently as well as a part of a team.
  • Reliable/dependable attendance record.
  • Contribute to team dynamics, offering solutions to move projects forward.
  • Minimal computer experience (Word/Excel, business software system).
  • Organizational skills. Must be focused, and driven to produce precise "showroom quality” finished products.
  • Versatile, fast-paced department requiring dependable and accountable team members who exhibit results that are consistent "a cut above” in accuracy & detail orientation.
PREFERRED:
  • Ability to accurately identify various metals such as a variety of Steels, Aluminum, etc.
  • Job Shop experience.
  • Experience in application of the following: Silicone Butyl Sealants; Gaskets etc.

EDUCATION:
High school or equivalent.
