Forklift & Yard Truck Mechanic Assistant

Tulsa Area | $20–$22/Hour | 1st Shift
Schedule: 5:00 AM – 5:00 PM

We are hiring a dependable, mechanically minded Forklift & Yard Truck Mechanic Assistant for a stable manufacturing operation in the Tulsa area.

This is a hands-on position working alongside experienced mechanics to inspect, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair forklifts, yard trucks, trailers, and other industrial equipment.

This is a great opportunity for someone with mechanical experience who wants to develop their skills in industrial equipment maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Assist mechanics with routine maintenance and repairs on forklifts and yard trucks.

• Perform basic equipment inspections and identify potential issues.

• Assist with troubleshooting mechanical and electrical problems.

• Perform oil, filter, fluid, battery, and lubrication maintenance.

• Assist with brake, tire, steering, suspension, and other mechanical repairs.

• Replace worn or damaged parts and components.

• Assist with welding, fabrication, and basic repairs when needed.

• Safely use hand tools, power tools, jacks, lifts, and other shop equipment.

• Assist with maintaining trailers, carts, and other yard equipment.

• Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repairs.

• Keep the maintenance shop, equipment, and tools clean and organized.

• Follow all company and equipment-specific safety procedures.

• Perform other maintenance-related duties as needed.

Qualifications

• Previous mechanical, automotive, diesel, equipment, or manufacturing experience preferred.

• Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn.

• Comfortable using basic hand and power tools.

• Ability to follow instructions and work safely.

• Strong attention to detail.
