Materials Technician – 1st Shift Monday - Friday
Pay: Low $20s/hr
A manufacturing company is hiring a Materials Technician to support production, inventory, receiving, and shipping operations. This role is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory, moving materials efficiently, and ensuring production has the materials needed to keep operations running smoothly.
Key Responsibilities:
• Receive, inspect, and verify incoming materials and shipments
• Perform cycle counts and maintain inventory accuracy
• Operate forklifts and move materials throughout the facility
• Stage and deliver materials to production areas as needed
• Support shipping by picking, packing, labeling, and preparing outbound orders
• Maintain MRO, spare parts, and tooling inventory
• Assist with resolving inventory discrepancies and material shortages
• Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean work area
Requirements:
• At least 1 year of warehouse, materials, logistics, or manufacturing experience
• Experience with inventory control and cycle counting preferred
• ERP/SAP system experience is a plus
• Forklift experience preferred
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 35 lbs
This is a hands-on role that requires strong organization, accuracy, and the ability to support both warehouse and production operations.
