Material Inspector
We are seeking a detail-oriented Material Inspector to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will inspect incoming materials, in-process products, and finished goods to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications. The ideal candidate has strong attention to detail, can read blueprints and drawings, and is committed to maintaining quality and safety in a manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
- Inspect materials, components, and finished products at various stages of production to identify defects.
- Perform quality checks and testing as required.
- Document inspection results, defects, and recommended repairs or rejections.
- Review manufacturing documentation to verify assembly, testing, and inspection requirements have been completed.
- Ensure products meet established quality standards and specifications.
- Complete inspection documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
- Cross-train in multiple inspection areas as needed.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work instructions.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Strong technical and basic math skills.
- Commitment to workplace safety and quality standards.
- Flexibility to work overtime and occasional weekends on short notice when business needs require.
