DESCRIPTION: To operate and oversee all aspects of the Baler, Shredder, and Sorting area. Sort good product from damaged product. Feed materials into shredder for recycling,
QUALIFICATIONS:
The following is intended to be used as a general guideline and checklist for evaluating and qualifying employees as a Baler/Sorter.
The information below will be discussed with the trainee by the department supervisor prior to any on-the-job training and by the trainer during the job training.
I. Physically Capable:
Lifting 30 -50 pounds occasionally
Pushing and pulling occasionally
Standing for long periods
Bending frequently
Twisting and kneeling frequently
Single grasping frequently
II. Safety:
Wear PPE
Knowledge of all machine controls and respective functions
Demonstrate safe work habits and good housekeeping practices
Work in a safe and productive manner
Identify and report work hazards
III. Ability to read and understand production orders:
Read and understand waste ticket
Read and understand bale ticket
Identify bad board from good board
Product routing through plant
