1st shift Material Handler

Material Handlers safely and accurately move materials and finished goods throughout the plant and prepare products for shipment.

Responsibilities

• Load, unload, pick, put away, consolidate, stack, and stage materials using a forklift, pallet jack, or other powered equipment.
• Follow FIFO procedures when handling materials and inventory.
• Deliver materials and supplies to work areas as needed to support production.
• Collect and properly dispose of scrap, trash, cardboard, and strapping.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area.
• Inspect pallets and cases for correct quantities, item numbers, brands, lot codes, and damage.
• Follow Quality Alerts and any special handling or documentation requirements.
• Label and store materials in the proper locations and update inventory using RF scanners.
• Confirm shipping details and special instructions and communicate any issues that may affect production schedules.
• Pull, pack, crate, and prepare finished products for shipment.
• Complete shipping paperwork and safely load and secure finished products.
• Maintain accurate records of materials received and shipped, including dates, locations, and quantities.
• Perform cycle counts and assist with physical inventory to verify material quantities and accuracy.
• Assist with general warehouse maintenance, including sweeping floors and storing equipment.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
