Nesco Resource is searching for a Material Handler to join the team with one of our long-term clients in Lake Orion. The shift runs from 6 AM to 4:30 PM Monday through Thursday. The pay rate is $21.00/hr.
- Receive, store, and distribute material, supplies, equipment and products within a warehouse using material handling equipment and manually
- Drive/operate material handling equipment
- Sort and place warehouse materials or items on racks, shelves, pallets or in bins according to predetermined sequence
- Assemble customer orders from the stock and places orders on pallets or shelves
- Perform cycle counts to verify accuracy of inventory information; maintains inventory records
- Uses computer to verify order information
Skills/Qualifications:
- Forklift experience
- Must be a team player and exhibit a strong desire to learn and promote self-growth
- Organized and strong attention to detail
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as proportions, percentages, area, length, width, height, and depth.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Familiarity with computers
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- Must be able to regularly lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to work in varying weather extremes
