MATERIAL HANDLER
Key Responsibilities:
- Process customer orders accurately while delivering a high level of customer service.
- Assist trade professionals and walk-in customers with product inquiries and support.
- Effectively multi-task between the customer service counter, office, and warehouse operations.
- Operate a sit-down forklift to safely load, unload, and transport materials throughout the facility.
- Inspect products for quality and prepare orders for shipment or customer pickup.
- Receive, verify, and stock incoming inventory.
- Support basic fabrication and machine shop tasks (experience with band saws or shears is a plus).
- Utilize measuring tools such as tape measures, calipers, and micrometers with accuracy.
- Perform mathematical calculations, including working with fractions and converting decimals to fractions.
- Assist with basic equipment maintenance and maintain a clean, organized, and safety-focused work environment.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
- Proven experience operating a sit-down forklift.
- Ability to travel and work at other local sites as needed.
- Strong customer service and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the day.
- Capable of frequently lifting 50–100 lbs.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus, but not required.
