Schedule:
Day shift is Monday - Thursday 5:00am to 3:30pm, OT is scheduled in the weekend (Friday - Sunday) only as needed.

*Physical required: Supplier initiates physical (which must include a mobile equipment evaluation)

We are looking for individuals that take instructions well. They are team players to support with whatever tasks needed including cleaning (6S). We woudl like someone that is sharp and will eventually lear the production needs to be on top of the flow of material and can manage completing tasks without having to be told. Individuals that are productive and have great communication.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Houston Extrusions Plant focuses on converting specialty metals into value added extrusions for the aerospace and defense industries. The material handler/helper is an essential part of our production team to keep things moving and flowing in a safe and efficient manner.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Supports production processes by moving material safely around shop to where needed
Pulls material for processing needs & customer orders
If needed, fills out all paperwork required to complete orders
May support with loading customer trucks and processes customer orders
Offloads material from vendor trucks then receives and verifies vendor supplied material and processes paperwork. Affixes tags supplied by administrator-sales.
Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
Will support with 6S around the shop where extra support is needed
Perform other tasks as assigned.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
High school diploma or GED
A minimum of 3 years of material handling experience
This position is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) which requires U.S. person status. ITAR defines U.S. person as an U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee.
Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Must be able to obtain an in-house mobile equipment certification, including use of forklift and boom lift
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals and blueprints.
Experience using a computer to enter and track data.
Ability to work a flexible work schedule to include holidays, weekends, and overtime.
Physical Demands: This is primarily a warehouse environment position. Sitting, Standing and possibly heavy lifting (up to 100 lbs) may be required. Temperature conditions will vary with the outside environment.
