Material Handler / Forklift Operator

Schedule:
Monday – Friday, 6:30 AM – 3:00 PM
We are seeking an experienced Material Handler/Forklift Operator to join a growing manufacturing team in Shelton. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys a fast-paced environment and is comfortable supporting both warehouse and production operations.
Responsibilities:
- Operate a forklift safely and efficiently to move materials throughout the facility
- Stage orders for production and shipment
- Utilize handheld scanners to track inventory and order movement
- Load and unload trailers
- Move finished pallets from the production floor to designated storage or shipping areas
- Support production operations by ensuring materials are available when needed
- Verify order accuracy and maintain inventory integrity
- Follow all safety procedures and company policies
- Assist with general warehouse and material handling duties as needed
Qualifications:
- Previous forklift experience required
- Experience working in a manufacturing or production environment preferred
- Ability to use scanners and inventory tracking systems
- Experience staging orders and loading trailers
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and remain active throughout the shift
- Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
