Nesco Resource is looking for 1st Shift Material Handlers in Stratford, CT. This position is a contract position, length of contract is TBD. Schedule is as follows: Monday- Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, $21/hour.
Job Description:
The material handler will be in charge of moving materials with a forklift, creating labels for shipping/receiving, removing cardboard, assembling and reassembling racks, tracking inventory for the buyer and planner and packing actuators as needed. Position is in the warehouse/logistics team and will report directly to the warehouse manager.
Job Responsibilities:
- Complete all assigned duties. Will be measured by the following:
- Moving material in and out of palette racks with forklift.
- Moving required materials with forklift to assembly team.
- Creating labels for sub assembly using Microsoft Word.
- Removing waste cardboard and lumber to dumpsters.
- Assembling and reassembling pallet racks and shelves.
- Taking inventory counts.
- Forklift certification.
- Knowledge of scales and weigh counts.
- Must have adequate reading and writing skills to create and read labels.
- Good organizational skills
- Ability to lift up to 70 lbs
