Material Processor / Yard Grader

Location: New Castle, PA
Pay Rate:$18.00–$20.00 per hour
Schedule: 7:00 AM – 4:30 PM, Monday–Friday, with two weekends per month

Position Overview

Looking for a hands-on job in a fast-paced industrial environment? We are seeking a dependable Material Processor / Yard Grader to join a growing metal recycling operation in New Castle, PA.

In this role, you will help receive, inspect, sort, grade, and process recycled metals to prepare materials for shipment. You'll play an important part in ensuring recyclable materials are properly handled and given a second life.

Job Responsibilities

• Weigh, inspect, and evaluate incoming materials to determine metal type and grade.

• Assist customers with identifying and understanding material types and grades.

• Manually sort and process various recycled metal materials.

• Prepare processed materials for shipment.

• Assist with loading, unloading, and general material handling as needed.

• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.

• Pay close attention to detail when inspecting and grading materials.

• Work as part of a team in a busy, fast-paced outdoor environment.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in an industrial, warehouse, or recycling environment preferred.

• Customer service experience is a plus.

• Good verbal communication skills.

• Strong attention to detail.

• Ability to multitask and stay productive in a fast-paced environment.

• Willingness to learn new processes and material identification.

• Dependable, hardworking, and comfortable working outdoors.

Work Environment

• Primarily outdoor work in a metal recycling yard.

• Exposure to changing weather conditions.

• Hands-on work involving sorting, inspecting, and handling recycled materials.

• Must be comfortable working in an active industrial environment.
